Madill
Home of the National Sand Bass Festival.
Our story is Oklahoma’s story.
Named for an official of the Frisco Railroad, Madill was in a perfect location from its earliest days, surrounded by rich agriculture, fertile country and good transportation. It became the county seat of Marshall County, and when the visionary planning of the Denison Dam led to the creation of Lake Texoma in 1944, the many miles of shoreline near Madill became a destination for tourists. Each June since 1963, it has hosted the National Sand Bass Festival.
