One Smart Cookie
The year was 1917 and the Mistletoe Girl Scouts Troop of Muskogee had an idea: to bake and sell cookies to raise money for holiday gift bags for Oklahoma soldiers on their way to fight in World War I. Their delicious cookies sold like hotcakes and earned them the needed funds, but even more remarkable is that their idea became the model for the Girl Scouts Cookie Program nationwide, which is still wildly successful more than 100 years later. This week on LoyalTV, join us in Muskogee as we honor the lasting impact of these enterprising young ladies!
